AN EXCEPTIONAL AND TIMELESS EVENING…
In the gardens of the Palace of Versailles, under magical lighting, maîtres d’hôtel dance an intriguing ballet as the curtain lifts on a unique event…
As a rosy sun dips towards the horizon, the terraces gradually fill with the guests of a great Palace patron, all dressed in period costume, who convene to enjoy a range of savoury cocktail canapés, just as Louis XIV and his 17th century companions once did.
Dinner is announced.
A single 104 metre-long table fills the Galerie des Batailles, adorned with inverse pleated table linen specifically tailored by Potel et Chabot.
The table setting is as elegant as the event: damask napkins embroidered with the bridal couple’s initials, silverware, porcelain…
And the service lives up to the outstanding tradition of the venue: 70 maîtres d’hôtel and wine waiters in period costume, an MC to announce each dish, choreographed service…
Our chefs have put together an exquisite menu that includes Lobster and peas served in the shell, Bresse Chicken à la Royale, Pan-friend Cep mushrooms, Baked Alaska with caramelised praline trimmings…
All flower arrangements were created in Potel et Chabot’s workshop: 22,000 pink and white roses assembled into circular bouquets…
Every detail has been stage managed to ensure a perfect harmony.
After an awe-inspiring fireworks display in the Palace gardens, the guests are invited into the Orangerie where a 20 metre-long dessert buffet rounds off the festivities. More than 40 pieces of sugar artwork, fountains, cornucopia, macaroon pyramids… all expertly crafted to proffer sweet delights.
For almost 200 years, it has been Potel et Chabot’s greatest pleasure to create unique events that bring historic venues to life, paying obsessive attention to every detail, marrying food, wine and table decorations, making dreams comes true.
